A MAZE. provides an intensive 3-day program with talks, workshops, panels, hypertalks, screenings, artistic games, VR experiences, playful installations, concerts, av performances and party in the heart of Johannesburg, Braamfontein.
Since A MAZE. is the first festival of that kind in Africa we have the responsibility to create a platform that grows from inside to secure the longterm goals like a national funding systems, more and effective international collaborations between universities, institutions, cultural agencies, studios and creatives

Gonna be talking about how I got into the animation industry in South Africa, and how a love of old-school videogames and Lucasarts adventure games got me my first animation experience, and how that's led on to me creating pilots with Nickelodeon and Disney, animated Goldfish music videos and other cool pixel art projects, and also want to chat about how these two worlds overlap for me quite a bit, and chat about creating pixel art animation.
